Hi,
I’m Gerald, and I’m a digital marketing CEO that’s grown tired of the digital world.
Since I was a kid, I’ve always been fascinated by the internet. I loved how it gave birth to diverse communities and cool new things to tinker with. Before, I’d catch myself in internet rabbit holes exploring hidden corners of the web with an infinite sense of curiosity— because that’s what the internet was, and what it was made for.
Today, mindless content and surveillance capitalism rule the internet. Endless feeds and algorithms designed to keep us hooked take precious hours away from our lives. A handful of megacorps dictate what you do, say, and feel online. Society continues to feed this cycle, mostly by breaking the community we’ve once held together.
There is still hope, though. This 2025, I’m back to being my younger self. I’ve begun exploring the other side of the internet— a small growing side that values community. A side that refuses to let the walled gardens of tech giants control how we live online. A community that values our right to privacy, free and open technologies, and mindful relationships with our devices.
I’ll be writing here as I fumble to bridge this disconnect— to be a CEO of a digital marketing agency in today’s world, and the call to have healthier relationships with technology.
Thanks for joining me.
